With temperatures quickly dropping and numerous families suffering hardships during this holiday season we must all do our part to give back.
#LayerOnLove by donating items such as coats provides families with the comfort of staying warm during this chilly season.
Layer On Love: Coca-Cola ® is working with One Warm Coat® to provide a layer of love for half a million people.
The holidays have always been a time for giving back, and if you’ve been shopping at Walmart this holiday season, you may have noticed that Coca-Cola at Walmart is giving back in a big way.
For their 2016 holiday program, “Layer On Love,” Coca-Cola at Walmart has partnered with One Warm Coat — an organization whose mission is to provide anyone in need with a warm coat free of charge — to help give half a million coats.
Every year my family and I create warm gift baskets or in our case gift pots full of items for families in need to create a warm meal.
We always include items such as gloves and scarves, recipes and ingredients to our favorite winter soup, and a cold Coca-Cola ®!
In our support of One Warm Coat® we decided to include coats in this years gift baskets!
I rounded up all my family members and gave them the idea of including coats in their gift baskets as well to donate to people in need.
To create the gift (pot) baskets start with a nice big soup pot. Add a copy of your favorite soup recipe and include all the ingredients to make the soup!
Next, purchase some cute Christmas tree bows and ornaments. Tie bows around bottles of Coca-Cola ® and add them to the gift pot!
Place the ornaments in the pot as well for decoration.
Lastly, add a nice warm coat to the basket or you could always donate to One Warm Coat® and support a great charity!
